Women's Equality Day
The National Women's History Alliance celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote.
Led by Representative Bella Abzug (D-NY), Congress passed the National Women's Equality Day in 1973. August 26 was selected to commemorate the passage of the 19th Amendment on August 26, 1920. To find out more, visit the National Women's History Alliance website.
